It's clear that there’s something about this "service" and "serving others" thing that must be important. I mean the Son of God, the Savior of the world did it… maybe we should as well.
Here are Embrace there's a few different ways to serve...
#1 One time volunteer opportunities at our next service. We have a variety of different needs (ushers, greeters, setup & teardown, Children's Church, etc). Sign up at the next worship service.
#2 Join a team! If you wanna get your hands dirty and make some decisions around Embrace... I'd urge you to learn more about the six different teams (Administration, Prayer, Program, Hospitality, Worship, and Service & Evangelism) that serve as the foundation of our church by clicking the links above. Join a team by downloading and filling out the Shape Sheets here on the right side of the screen.
#3 Serve around Sioux Falls! Embrace believes as a community that we have been called and sent into the city of Sioux Falls. The focus of the church is not ourselves, but others. By serving, we not only take on the heart of Christ and bless others, but we gain much in return. As followers of Christ, we are called to take the position of a servant to all of those around us. Our hope is to gain the trust and attention of others by tangibly showing them the love and grace of Christ through our words, attitudes, and most importantly our actions. Keep your eyes on the calendar for different service events; also our small groups are involved in different service projects throughout the year as well.
