March

Amen! Amen!  I was pretty nervous about who would show up tonight for Movin' The Troops, but 40 people did and another 20 wished they could be there! What a great start!

We presented a lot of information and handed out even more, but people seemed excited and ready to go!

For today (Monday, March 17th)
the Countdown Plan is:

Prayer: A person I know who needs to come to Embrace.  Pray for that one person you know who is interested, curious or searching, but hasn't made it to a service.  This person that would be most likely to fill your empty chair!

Friends and Family: Email the Argus Article to 5 people.  Send them this link [http://embracesiouxfalls.com/info/161/in-the-argus] and just tell them to "check out my crazy pastor."  It's the Argus link on our site.  Maybe they'll go there and look around.

Public: Handout Cards at St. Patrick's Day Parade.  Adam and Scott Erickson are leading the charge on this effort.  Meet them in front of the Great Western Bank building [9th and Phillips, Downtown] at 4pm.  We'll just be enjoying the parade and handing out some Embrace business cards.  If you have any questions, drop me a line.

Be well and have a great week!

As I admitted last night, this is way out of my comfort zone. I sent out five emails to an easy group of friends. Then feeling convicted for taking the easy path, I sent out another 3 just for good measure!

I spent the entire morning with a film crew and some of the faces of Embrace filming our commercials and they are going to be dynomite! Adam even got to do some acting.

I hope that others are focused today on the efforts at hand!

I did it! I did it! I sent the Argus article out to 5 of my favorite women (those who are NOT currently attending Embrace.) I’ve talked to two of them before about Embrace, and I knew a smidge about thier faith lives. The other three, I have no clue, but I know they are fabulous women, and are in my prayers this week. If I can do it, YOU can too! It’s a simple email and you never know unless you try. God’s blessings on your attempts!

We had a great turnout (I honestly was surprised!) of 3 people! I expected it only to be me. We each had business cards and… we didn’t hand out any…not a one. We did however get a business card from a random girl for a free blooming onion at Texas Roadhouse. We tried to hire her for Embrace but she went by so quickly that we didn’t even get a chance to talk with her.

Out of everything on this list… I didn’t expect too much from this… it ended up being a nice time of conversation for the 3 of us though… and we got to see the great St Patty’s Parade… (although the pitbull club was a little scary.)

P.S. Some of the stories from others who forwarded the Argus link were incredible. They really were! Way to go everyone!
