Embrace Sioux Falls podcast

Our Story

The vision for Embrace came to the lead pastor of Cornerstone Church in Watertown, SD.  In the summer of 2005, we began to approach the leadership of the Dakconcert1otas Conference with the vision for the new church in Sioux Falls.  Although there were already six United Methodist Churches in Sioux Falls, the city was growing and it became clear that there was a need for another.
Further into the process, it became known that Sunnycrest Church in Sioux Falls not only had a heart for the church, but they also had valuable resources that could help get the new church off the ground.

story1With the growing interest for the church plant in Sioux Falls, we decided it would be a good test to see if people would actually turn out for a service. With a few emails, calls, and a great deal of prayer, thirty-one people (Embrace) worshiped together for the first time on September 4, 2006.  Soon after that service, small groups began gathering in homes and we have been getting together for worship once every month ever since.  On July 1, 2007, Adam Weber was officially appointed as the lead pastor of Embrace.
